The actual gooseneck component is very good. High quality. However, the smart phone adapter is junk and will not securely hold a Samsung Galaxy Note 10+. The clamp is pretty good and you can crank down on it pretty hard. At the other end, the ball joint is good quality, but I had to purchase seperately a cold-shoe adapter, in order to mount my LED lights to it. That was my fault, not theirs, so no blame there. Overall, this is what I needed, but I did have to make some modifications in order for it to suit my (very specific) needs. Other than the phone adapter, everything met my expectations.

I purchased this unit to use with my logitech Brio WebCam for videoconferencing. I work from home and spend a lot of time on Teams, WebEx and Zoom meetings. I wanted something that would get the camera off the top of my monitor because it was too high up. I’m ounces on the back edge of my desk and can position it anyway I want. It is sturdy, and I like that the ball mount and sleeve are made of metal instead of plastic. It works great for me.

I’ve seen other reviews mention how hard it is to adjust. I think it’s just the right amount of rigidity. Any less and I’m not sure how it would hold a heavier camera in place. I mounted my Razor Kiyo Pro to it, and it’s just enough stiffness to hold it in place if it’s extended out far.
I wish they would have posted more pictures about the phone holder though. I didn’t think my Logitech was going to be compatible because it just hooks over a monitor. It turns out I could have used it with the phone holder and not purchased the Razor with the screw hole.

I initially purchased this for use in my photography – other than that of a gooseneck webcam stand. I suspect if you were using it for its intended purpose, it would work well.
My one caution is in the quality of the clamp. While it is robust enough for it’s intended purpose, you will have to take steps to protect any furniture you attach it to as there is no padding on the clamping surfaces and so it could leave marks or even gouges on your furniture. If you were to use surface savers out of felt, silicone, rubber, leather… your application should work fine.

Wanted this item for its dual purpose-ness.. Web cam and iPhone 13 pro max.
Holds my web cam for work meetings just fine – iPhone, for vid calls with family, has an Otterbox defender case.
The phone clip does NOT spread quite enough to hold the phone securely with the case – that clip is pretty cheap plastic and the phone is actually too heavy to be really secure in the clip.. that doesn’t quite fit, The phone pops out when trying to adjust gooseneck. May not keep, but like how it works with my cheapy web cam and otherwise the price was good.
