I haven’t used separate webcams for computers, for years. Most laptops come with integrated webcams, so there was never a need.
I needed a webcam for an old computer. This was just needed for online classes, so nothing special was required. So I bought this cheapest one, Zeb Crystal Clear. But I am not sure what is claimed to be crystal clear in this one.
This product arrived in a simple box and was manufactured last month (July 2021). It was just plug and play, but the mic was almost muted. Even when I brought the webcam closer to the mouth, still the other person could just hear a crackling voice, which was muffled. The built-in microphone thing is a joke.
I knew that the quality was bad, and was just hoping that it was just a defective piece and ordered a replacement because a refund option was not available. Replacement was the same. I returned that as well.
I had even tried going to Zebronics website to see if there are any drivers that can help, but camera drivers listed were updated in year 2010 and some in 2012.
I am not sure how this product has got a rating of 3+. Perhaps, because of other products in the option list, which are more expensive and perhaps slightly better. This Zeb crystal clear one does not deserve any star, even if the price is Rs 800.
Picture quality is okay for online classes, but that was not much of a concern. Night vision too is hopeless. If you have to use a separate mic for a webcam, then there is no point in buying these below Rs. 2000 usb webcams, as it gets clumsy because of wires.
I later read reviews of other similar products costing below Rs. 2000 and those too have this mic problem. Almost everyone is recommending a Logitech webcam, which costs upwards of Rs. 2500.
I am not sure why these webcams are that expensive when a phone costing Rs. 5000 can provide a better video calling option.
I even talked to a local seller, and he too said that these webcams do have mic problems.
To sum up, these this webcam’s mic is useless. And if someone is expecting the mic to work properly, then he’ll probably be disappointed.
Update 05-Oct-2021: I have bought Zinq webcam, and even though it has too much wide angle view and a few other issues, but its video quality is okay and mic also works. I have reviewed that here on Amazon.

I bought this cam even after reading some of the 1 and 2 star rating here. so let me tell my experience, this cam works perfectly for its price.
If you are one of those person thinking of using this cam for streaming on Twitch or YouTube, or recording hd videos, you need to spend a little more from your pocket cause this cam aint for you.
This is ideal webcam for people who have daily work requiring virtual meetings or kids who have virtual classrooms.
Why?
Because, these are activities were you need to stream yourself for hours on end. Having a lightweight webcam is best you can ask for.
Its having a 0.3mb camera with manual focus. Yup, you will have to adjust the knob a few times to get it right. (Tiresome unless you using a pc. But hey look at the price).
It records 480p video which is great since it only consumes low bandwidth. So you can still manage if you’re having spotty or bad network connection. You need only to show that you are attending the class or meeting right? No one is gonna complaint they cant see the the number of stitches in your t-shirt.
The cam mounting is only part I have a complaint about . The clip mechanism is too large for lcd/led monitor or laptop. You need to figure out how to install it. Other than that I’m happy.
I knew what I wanted from this cam and glad to say it delivered. For others like me still reading the reviews , buy it without a thought.
