Amazing how much storage modern video games require when installing the required game updates.
The slim Glacier White PS4 was only available in 500 Gb variation near me and this capacity was far from adequate for even a handful of video game titles.
Very simple to install, perfect dimension for the PS4. You do not need a super fast Solid State Drive (SSD) except for maybe achieving faster boot speed on powering on, but the price for these is still not really viable all the same, especially for larger capacities… this drive from Seagate is exceptional value for added video gaming storage!
Excellent customer service from Amazon and the outsourced couriers that delivered the item. Can’t be happier!

Working fine, statistics match with original. But serial number doesn’t match with online data base. This is really suspicious. Meanwhile talking about its working, its working fine. No sound or anything noticable which can affect the performance. Shipment was pathetic as if was some clothing material with no protection for the product at all.. talking about protection, Amazon, filp send tons of protection even with Condoms packing so that it doesn’t damaged but fails to give protection with this.
1st thing you should do as soon as you get the hard drive is check for tha bad sector. There are bunch of softwar.

This 2tb HDD is really best for more storage..for Gaming and for storing files,photos…only thing i dont like is my HDD was not properly packed but shipping box was properly packed…But HDD works fine and fast.

One day my ps4 suddenly stopped workimg and showed the error CANNOT ACCESS SYSTEM STORAGE. It was then when I reached Sony customer care, who told me to bring it to their centre for checking. The original hdd failed…..so they recommended me to buy a new one from your company.
I have bought the compatible hdd for my ps4….but the problem is that games are crashing and data corruption is common nowadays. Earlier I thought it might be due to improper installation so deleted the game to download it again. Its been 3 times now that im getting the data corruption message and cannot open games on my ps4. And today when I tried to turn on my ps it wouldn’t turn on saying Cannot turn on ps4. Please reinitialise ps4 to continue. I have already reinitialised the whole thing 4 times now…..still getting problems, which clearly indicates that there’s a fault in the new hdd.
I contacted Sony again, they clearly told that it is due to a faulty hdd.
Kindly help me check the hdd for problems and send a replacement for the same…. I’ve struggled alot with downloading a 200gb game over and over again, which is just waste of my time and internet.
I have purchased my hdd in May 2020 thru Amazon.in and am attaching a screenshot of the online receipt as well.

Seagate is always best.
After sales, when it comes to customer service – Seagate is always the best for last 15years in Chennai to my knowledge. I have never faced issues with Seagate while replacing the drives under warranty. Five years ago, I’ve replaced a drive where it’s warranty is going to expire in two days, still Seagate has replaced it without causing any delay/hassle – amazing support from their team as always.

So far it’s working really well, my son’s PS4 was lagging and then it stoped working. After new hard drive he is very happy.

Easy to install. Laptop compatible. Works as Expected. The packing was poor. Could have easily been damaged in transit. Check the moment you receive the product for any damage and get it replaced. Request the Seller to Improve the packing of the product. A Hard case or some bubble wrap won’t cost you much.

Since it’s 5400 RPM for 2.5″ HDD, you can’t expect much. But I do have to say, it really feels *slightly* faster compared to other 5400 RPM HDDs.

The Seagate Barracuda is a perfect hard drive to upgrade your PlayStation 4 console with. It is quick, efficient, easy to install, and essentially perfect in all ways.
It fits perfect in a PS4 and installation takes no more than 15 minutes plus a few UI installations in order to get it up and running on the console.
I would recommend this hard drive to anyone looking to upgrade their memory on their PlayStation.
The 2TB is more than enough to have as many games as you want without having to delete anything ever again!
