Amazon keeps damaging my drives on delivery so I cannot say whether these are awesome or not since they die within 6 months, but that is just between me and amazon and not much to do with Western Digital. Just leaving a buyer beware that you should purchase these elsewhere if you can or else you will have headaches in the future.
When the drive was working in my system is seemed great. No video loss, no crazy long load times to access footage. Shame that amazon has to keep damaging them and I have to keep reinstalling new ones in my security system years before the warranty is up. WD only offers refurbished drives but I think that is unacceptable considering the circumstances. I may take them up on the offer just so I don’t have to fork out another 120-150 dollars for a new drive but I am definitely feeling like I am being taken advantage of.

Muy buen disco, muy silencioso, no hace nada de ruido ya que eso es importante en un DVR. Mi disco anterior hacía ruidos como de tortillería.

Defective hdd delivered, seller put the hdd in just a poly no bubblewrap no box nothing

Prodotto arrivato nei tempi previsti. Questo è HDD che uso per le videosorveglianze dei miei clienti. Di questa serie uso varie capienze e ne sono sempre soddisfatto. Alcuni esemplari stanno funzionando da 10 anni.

Non è il primo che acquisto, ne avevo comprati già altri 2 per altri 2 NVR. E’ il matrimonio perfetto per tutto quanto si possa chiedere ad un NVR da non professionisti. Diciamo che per sistemi home e light business è semplicemente perfetto, costo adeguato prezzo giusto e sono veramente affidabili!

This is a surveillance centric HDD. Great for storing huge data continuously. Gives more than a month of surveillance footage for a 16 Camera system in Full HD.

Had to buy this a replacement for another brand HDD which failed after a couple of months use, although advertised for the specific purpose of continuous recording.
This drive has been working quite reliably for some months now.
It is not working –
The media could not be loaded.
