I was building a new gaming PC, and while I wanted PCIe 5X SSD, prices still too high.
Bought a Crucial T705 1TB drive, but returned it new, as cost was prohibitive.
Decided to go with fast PCIe 4X drives. Either Samsung 990 Pro or SN850X.
The WD drives are a wee bit slower, but their price point was quite a bit better.
I ended up with a 2 TB drive, plus a 1 TB drive, for the price of the PCIe 5X drive, plus $50 bucks.
Couldn’t be happier. Fast and smooth. No issues.

This ssd is perfectly compatible with the ps5 and comfortably provides read speed close to 6400 MB/s which is very fast as I moved my 200 GB call of duty and it took merely 14 seconds for that. Prefer it over any other ssd . It’s working perfectly and its installation is also very easy.

WD has been my favorite brand and this was my second WD NVMe SSD and first one in TB capacity range. Definitely great performance for my gaming needs. There is no lag in loading big games like Harry Potter legacy and A plague Tale requiem. If your remaining PC Hardware can manage demanding games, this drive is a definite worth the value it brings to the table for speed, dependability and near 0 latency. I did not observe any errors or lags in any application or game I have set up on this drive in months of using it.

Bought this for using with PS5. Came in properly sealed package. Working flawlessly but it’s just been 2 days. The read speed although is stuck at 6290 for the PS5 don’t know why that is, but having said that no problems while gaming. All in all a good buy.

This is definitely the go-to choice for increasing storage on the PS5. Offers the exact same specs as the pricier PlayStation licensed SN850P, just without the PS branding. Installation and setup is a breeze as well. It is not the cheapest of the options available but after a year of using it, it runs games at speeds identical to those installed on the PS5’s own SSD with no issues whatsoever and I have no regrets.
