Western Digital WD Black SN770 NVMe 2TB, is a game changer. Speed is good, but the price is too high compared to the recent fall seen in the last few months. The most concerning thing that I noticed, WD should focus on its product quality, because if we compare this NVMe Circuit board with the previous old model like SN570, the board of SN770 is poor.
So while installing it into another machine we must take precautions, otherwise it could get damaged easily it little bit more pressure into it.
Good This is Western Digital WD Black SN770 NVMe 2TB has Higher TBW up to 1200TB which is helpful to keep its life long.

WD_BLACK 2TB SN770 NVMe is very good internal SSD showing excellent transfer speeds on my Mac system. It is brand new so I cannot say anything about the longevity as yet, but so far so good.

しております！
iMac2019でM.2SSDケース運用なため
Gen4の恩恵はまったくありませんが
サンダーボルト3対応SSDケースなので
Gen3のわりと予想通りの速度です。
ただ、作業中爆熱な為
ケースにヒートシンクをつけました。
今後Macを変えてからが
本格的な運用になるので期待してます。

*I installed it on my Colorful p15 i7 12th gen Rtx 4060 and it worked like a charm.

Using this for retro video game playing in an external USB c nvme enclosure with metal heatsink case. Getting real good performance.
But premium pricing but 5 year warranty.
Found Kioxia exercia G3 plus with 5 year warranty is about 1.5k cheaper with almost similar performance

Works good, easy to install; be weary you need to make sure the “stand off” is in the right spot or it’s even there. Mine was pre-installed on my computer. The drive should sit parallel with the motherboard/circuit board; don’t push it down too far. I’ve always had good luck with Western Digital storage products, even their old WD black edition mechanical hard drives. I have never had a Western Digital drive fail on me yet, still have my old 640GB black drives from 2010. Magnet screwdriver is really recommended to install this drive, the retaining screw is VERY small. Be careful not to cross thread it as well. No DRAM on the drive but does use HMB (Host-based Memory Buffer) for speedy operation. Works great for gaming. Love the black color, matches my all black computer theme well. Doesn’t seem to run hot at all, haven’t seen anything over 50C while gaming (these usually mount near a very hot graphics card (if you have one) in desktop computers). All in all decent price for pretty good performance. If your a gamer the money saved here could go to something really useful like a bigger graphics card, more system RAM (memory) or next tier up CPU. The “SSD Dashboard” app is decent as well, shows drive spec’s, health, used and available space, interface speed supported, interface speed connected, S.M.A.R.T tests, temps, if “DirectStorage” is supported, checks and updates drive firmware as well and a bunch of other stuff. It’s one of the last good apps that you can select to “not start up automatically”. It’ll show other installed drives as well but doesn’t show any info on them if they aren’t Western Digital. All in all a good purchase.

Earlier thought of returning bcos my Dell Optiplex 3070 Tower was restarting. Need to download software from western digital website, this will then download firmware. Working smooth and fast after installing firmware.
