Good for diy projects… i bought it for WLED project… before that i used esp8266 but the ram and processing is very low… so i choose to upgrade it with esp32… now animations and user interface of wled is very smooth and buttery

Mine came with two-three pins already connected with some solder,as you can see in the pic.However after getting rid of it and connecting with usb,it seems to be working fine.
For people whose computers cannot recognise this device,few things to remember-
Use “DOIT DEVKIT V1” as board in Arduino IDE and install “CP210X Driver usb to uart bridge vcp driver” from “silicon labs” website.
For windows(not mac) users you will also need to install python if not already installed.
PS:Their doesn’t seem to be a need to press the boot button while flashing , atleast in my device just pressing upload from the IDE is enough to flash the microcontroller.

Legit. Pretty good. Works with arduino studio.

Good one, but when migrating from nodemcu, you might find library issues.
For eg, MAX7219 7 Segment display, you have to use a different library and also I had to tweak that library slight to make it work.
Wireless connectivity is good. Only 2.4G.
I used it with MAX7219 7 Segment display to make a small internet clock.

Worked without issues after installing SILABS CP210X serial driver, choosing ESP32 Dev Module in Arduino IDE. Did a quick test with the example blink sketch.

Using the Arduino IDE, I could not upload any sketch to the ESP32. I get a, “A fatal error occurred: Failed to connect to ESP32: Timed out waiting for packet header”. The only way to get this board to upload was to hold the “Boot” button down while uploading the sketch, then it worked. Returning device…
