Usually brands upgrade their products but this case wa quite the opposite one. Only things good about it is the screen.. Previous versions were better.

Disclaimer:
buy it ONLY if you want a 14inch thin and light gaming+productivity device, and you are aware exactly what you need it for!
Facts:
– DO NOT think it’s a beast, you can get ~20 FPS without frame gen at 1800p in most games.
– Lenovo legion 5pro, 7i provide the same configurations with metal chassis and are cheaper as well.
– 4060 GPU does not provide any observable increase in performance post ~90 TGP, do not fall for the High TGP gamble with older than 2023 g14
– 16 GB soldered ram, hearing it physically hurts! Games+OS consume around 70% of it rest is decent enough overhead, if you run blender or render videos you might see the laptop slow down a little, but only if it’s with high shaders and 4K quality!
ToDo’s
– Verify the complete model number listed on official Asus website for correct configuration.
– uninstall armoury crate as soon as you get the laptop and install G-helper, under volt the CPU by -10
– run disk speed check and CPU benchmarks to verify if all parts are intact and working
– Buy a stand with enough space for air intake
– delete McCafe
My opinion if I had the option to buy it again:
– I would wait for 32Gb variant with 4070 or 4080
– buy Lenovo 7i with 32Gb ram with the same specs.
– I would by this again because there is NO gaming laptop with this form factor in the Indian market as of August 2024, and all I need average experience in both gaming and productivity tasks!

I have watched all YT videos on this and went through multiple articles to understand how this device behaves and now tried it personally!
HYPE and BLEEDING EDGE tech looks good temporarily!
PS. Mac lovers go have a look at 16GB M3 air, that’s a good value if you still want to be a fanboy!

I have had a Asus Rog Zephyrus G14 2021 model that had a WD SSD and Realtek Wifi Card. But this G14 2024 model has some SSD which appears to be local since the laptop hangs when it heats up. Also, the wifi card is also Mediatek. The SSD supports speeds of upto only 4900Mbps read and 3500Mbps write which is quiet low for a GEN 4.0 SSD. Also, the G14 2021 waked up from sleep in under 1 second but G14 2024 does not.

Excellent laptop with all in features. Asus never make us letdown. What a masterpiece. AMD RYZEN, G-SYNC graphic, 16Gb and 32 Gb variant.
