The Redmi Pad Pro 5G is the worst product I have ever bought. Within one month, I encountered a software issue that caused me to lose all my data. After just 10 days, the same issue occurred again, and I lost my data once more. Now, a new issue has arisen: the device is completely off. Even though I charged it the entire day, it still won’t turn on.
Purchasing this product was the biggest mistake I have made. Additionally, getting service from Redmi has been a major challenge. They only operate from 10:30 AM to 6:30 PM (Monday to Saturday), which are peak office hours for most customers. They don’t offer services on Sundays. Since their business relies on selling products to customers, they should offer services that cater to customer flexibility—at least by extending their hours until 8 PM or providing service on two Sundays a month. After buying their product, getting service has been the biggest obstacle. I strongly advise against purchasing this product.

I have used it for almost 2 days now. This is my first Redmi device. Great performance courtesy of SD processor. Good standby time. Decent recharge time of almost 1 hr and 45 mins. Big 2.5K display looks awesome but drains quite a lot of power. Plays 4K videos with no lag. It even detects my 2Tb external HDD. Only con is that display has yellowish tint on it but this can be adjusted by tweaking the colors to cold. Also the colors are a bit dull compared to my Realme pad. This runs on android 14 out of the box and Mi promises 2 years of OS updates. Didn’t test any games.
Expandable memory and earphone jack are icing on the cake. I got it only for something like eighteen k with card discounts. Get an OTG and this detects a normal USB mouse and a 500GB memory card and this becomes a mini laptop. The triple dots on the top of the screen provides great multi-window option. Overall a must buy if you are looking for an all round performer on a budget.
Edit – The apps keep closing once the screen is off apparantly this is a known issue in Hyper OS. Quite frustrating. This issue was resolved after some digging in the net. Also, the OS isn’t as friendly as the Realme OS. Got my first Hyper OS update on January 2025 so this now runs on Android 15.Best tab.

Performance wise a very good device to have, I bought it for casual use tho tried few games like Wuthering wave they are 3D open world games like genshin they ran on max graphics without lag. for average daily use it holds up nice however I do feel battery drains can be optimized with software also software support seems to lack for now, for me few xiaomi apps threw me a error “not supported in India” For drawing and office work thing seems useful however I believe the pen costs quite a bit too much, so I haven’t got to test it yet. Touch is perfect and camera is standard not the best but works. Dolby speakers seems to be great too for entertainment videos tho some games work weird. There is zero lag that is one thing very good in this device.
Software and battery only to be improved for now.

Very good value. Good sound, nice display, works well with the Redmi Smart Pen, decent camera. I think it’s a tad heavy and a bit disappointed that programs (barring essentials) can’t be installed to high speed memory cards. Defintely a good buy in this price range.

I am very happy with my purchase of this tablet. I got the WiFi-only variant and mainly use it for media consumption and note-taking.
Battery & Performance:
The battery life is excellent, easily lasting two days with my usage. While streaming movies, the battery drains gradually, which is expected. No heating issues so far. The 120Hz refresh rate does consume more power, so I keep it at 90Hz, which feels smooth and balanced. Performance is decent—there are minor lags, but nothing too concerning. I don’t multitask or use split-screen, so it works well for my needs. I don’t game and haven’t tried any, so I can’t comment on gaming performance.
Display & Audio:
The display is the highlight of this device—colors are vibrant and crisp. Brightness is average but manageable. The speakers with Dolby sound great, offering a good media experience.
Charging & Connectivity:
Charging speed is respectable with the 33W support. I usually charge from 30% to 80%, and it charges fairly quickly. Bluetooth connectivity is seamless—I have no issues pairing it with my Sony WH-1000XM4 headphones. Wired earphones also work well with my Samsung Type-C (EO-IC050), and I appreciate the inclusion of a 3.5mm headphone jack and expandable storage.
Overall, this tablet delivers a great experience for media and productivity at this price point.

Tablet 8/128 is classic in overall aspects & specification weather be touch ,speaker, screensize ,camera , applications.
Best in segment & value for money.
As far as battery is concerned it drains fast but looking towards screensize & system it is considerable and cannot be compared to cellular battery consumption.
Original stylus is bit expensive but one should go for it. Compatibility of original stylus is unbeatable in comparison with other android stylus available in market.
