I was looking for a way to use an older monitor to set up a new computer before I hooked it up to my existing setup so looked for an inexpensive adapter for short term use. This fit the bill perfectly: my old Acer VGA monitor and cables worked perfectly with my new Dell desktop right out of the box. Signal conversion was instant, transparent, and no system changes were needed.

Performance wise, it does the job very well. Easy to connect. Picture quality is good considering the format and capabilities. Build quality seems filmsy and cheap.

I was all set to spend a bunch of money and buy my own much alrger monitor for waork, when I discovered this adapter which allows me to have a 2nd external monitor for my laptop. My laptop only has 1 VGA port, and to add another one fo our VGS monitors I needed another port. This solved my dilemna. I now have 2 monitors attached to my laptop. I had to play around with the settings on my 2nd monitor. It is older, and I 1st tried adjusting the resolution down, because it just flickered and never displayed. This worked, but everytime, after sleeping, I would have to re-set the resolution until it displayed again. Finally had my Tech guy look at it, and he had me adjust the it from 60hz to 75hz. Now it works well, doesn’t flicker, and the resolution is high. Great buy for my needs, and saved me lots of money!

Needed to connect a VGA monitor to a desktop and this one worked perfectly. The picture quality is great and it was so easy to connect. Definitely worth getting if you need one.
