I had purchased this last year, but was able to put it to use only recently. It had come in a plastic cover. I also had the installation screws and power / SATA connectors needed; not sure whether it was sent with the HDD or the NVR. Did a DIY installation into the CP Plus NVR. Worked out of the box. The connectors must be installed carefully. I hear a very slight hum when the disk is spinning (to be sure this is all the time since it is recording 24×7). Otherwise working fine – I am able to record and review perfectly using the appropriate software.
Edit: The HDD died after a couple of months of operation inside a CPPlus NVR box. Evidently could not take the load of continuous recording.

I’d say from my 3 days of experience this is working great. I’ve installed it in my DVR and it has good read & write speeds. Write is around 120-130mbps & read is 150-170 mbps
I’d say it’s only value for money if u get it around 6-7k no more than that. You can get it easily at cost to cost store at around 6700 but due to lockdown I had to buy it from here

Bon rapport qualité/prix/capacité. Fonctionnement silencieux. Utilisé sur un DVR de vidéo-protection. Pas de souci depuis 1 mois. A voir dans le temps, mais je suis confiant. Surpris, cependant, que l’expédition du disque dur (dans une simple enveloppe Amazon en carton) a été effectuée sans précaution particulière, comme un peu de du papier-bulle autour, par exemple.

They have delivered non functional hdd and declined to replace or return an item. They are blaming to me for non functional item and don’t care for customer. Also they blaming me to violation of there policy regarding conditions of use.
I went to segate service centre and they verified, hdd is non functional and they have replaced me.
So people don’t expect from Amazon to care of you and help all time. I have decided to never to purchase any item from Amazon

Product is runng but the packaging is worst i have received inside the Amazon bag it was in plastic box which was broken that’s the resion why hard drive was physically damaged. If the drive not work properly who will be responsible for this. But thanks to God it was working as I was expecting.

Showd up a lil late….but installation was 5min easy as heck todo….nd surprised the hall outta me with great expectations….said it would record 5-8 days on a four camera channel system and I actually have an extension too wire up eight cameras…too my one dvr system nd my new Skyhawk 1TB Hardrive. … nd it recorded 29 days straight 24/7 days a week before i started too record over the oldest recordings first…. and caught two car prowlers and one car wreck , and people falling down on the ice hitting there head….I recommend this skyhawk survalince 1TB Hardrive or bigger one too anyone wanting good quality product for there money…..especially buying it from Amazon. …I got mine for 57$… nd from staples or any where else would have costed $120 plus…. I’m telling you no fibs…you get more quality bang for you buck….promise. ..
