Its really good for the price its available at. Plus comes with a 1 yr warranty so u can be assured it will last long(Hope so). First device was defective and replacement one worked good.
Build quality is nice, kinda competes with its higher priced similar devices. I didn’t notice any delay to hdmi out. Optical out gave a really good audio to my dac when connected to nintendo switch.
I got it to get audio out from my lg monitor’s hdmi arc port. But it wasn’t accepting signals from it. Tried with hdmi 2.1 cable also but nope. Port works fine as i tested it with my JBL dolby atmos soundbar’s earc port and it was getting proper audio signals from my monitor.
So maybe it just reads video formats and not just audio formats alone. Thus had to return it and ordered ‘hdmi arc-in audio extractor’ hoping that might work as i dont want huge soundbar on my table and just wanna listen from my high quality dac compared to stupid low res bluetooth sound output from my monitor.
Still i would say its best device if wanna extract audio from a hdmi video output. I was skeptical to return it as its that good. If i need such device in future, i would get this one for sure as its better value for price product.

This is 2nd one i have received, first one was not working.
I have connected my sony HT S20R sound system with this sounce audio extractor by honeywell Toslink cable with my acer laptop and i am getting 5.1 channel sound but no Dolby digital effect. But in sound control panel 5.1 channel is not showing only stereo audio is showing though the switch is selected to 5.1 mode.
