I had to buy this since rat bit my older cable when i was away from home. I use Thermaltake core P3 case which is open from all sides.
Brought it for Rs. 1950 which was lesser than what was sold here in SP road, Bangalore. They were asking for 2400.00
In terms of quality compared to previous one which I got with case, this cable is softer and looks like black film will come off if not handled properly. Anyways does the work and other brands are expensive compared to this. So Thermaltake is better option.

I tried two other risers (the cheap ones that look like old gray IDE cables). Those worked ok with my EVGA GTX 980 but they did not work with my Powercolor RX480 (The Red Devil I think they call it? 1 fan 4GB of ram version). After much digging around the net it appears the RX 480 cards draw FAR more power through the PCI-E slot from the motherboard than most Nvidia cards do. I ordered one of these after hearing some good reviews. And it has worked great with BOTH my GTX 980 and my RX 480. If you’re looking for a riser grab one of these, there may still be some GPU motherboard combinations that don’t play well with this but its much higher quality and worth the extra few bucks. FYI Thermaltake also has a longer version up to 1meter (slightly different than this version) Linus from Linus Tech Tips tested those and was able to chain them and reach nearly 3 meters!.

Over all I’m very happy with this wish I had bought it first. As soon as I tested it I ordered a second for the other GPU (building a 2 gamers 1 cpu system).

If you are curious about performance I did lots of testing I’ll share the RX 480 results here.

Using my RX 480 card directly in a x16 slot here are the firestrike scores I achieved in 3D mark

    Firestrike Score 10346
    Graphics Score 12823
    Test 1 FPS 62.14
    Test 2 FPS 50.56
    Physics Score 13854
    Combination Score 3658

Here are the scores for the exact same system the only change was putting the RX 480 GPU on this thermal take PCI-E Extension

    Firestrike Score 10716
    Graphics Score 12776
    Test 1 FPS 61.86
    Test 2 FPS 50.41
    Physics Score 13596
    Combination Score 4241

Ignore the fact that it looks like it went up, slight change in temp in the room or some other anomoly the point is there was no performance loss with the extension with in an acceptable margin of error. I had the same results (no loss in performance) with my GTX 980

Liked the price, that it works and the speed at which it was delivered. Not sure about longevity… this is the third in 2 years. It may have to do with the severe bend that is required to fit it to the Graphics Card support bracket that Thermaltake supply. I have found that if you can, go under the bracket and fix the screws rather than through the bracket and bend the end of the ribbon very sharply, it allows a far gentler radius. I am hoping this cable will last a bit longer.

Great product as expected but do note – this is PICIE 3.0 model not 4.0

Used in conjunction with a 1080ti. Worked like a charm. Cable isn’t too rigid allowing enough flexibility to mount two quite easily if you wanted a SLi setup.

A perfect pcie riser cable for Thermaltek view 71 cabinet, which comes with GPU mount bracket, very easy to install, and 200mm is more than enough for this cabinet. And the best thing I observed is low temperature when installed in view 71 with an intake fan on the bottom, no performance difference that I have noticed so far, will check in long hours of gameplay……

The riser cable impact on fps is very little that it wouldn’t even be easily know.. But i got 50% drop on fps using this cable. Disappointed, don’t know whether its the gpu version issue as mine rtx 3070 is pcie 4.0… Or the quality issue of the cable (capability to transfer data up and down smoothly) because i used it on pcie 3.0 whether without cable or with it, the pcie 3.0 port was used and it was definitely half the fps drop when used compared to putting rtx 3070 on pcie 3.0 port directly…

My motherboard handled this without any issues. Didn’t need to go to the BIOS and change the pcie config. There might be some streaming issue in demanding titles such as Callisto Protocol, TLOU but RDR2 ran fine at all max 4k.
Do note that depending on systems the riser cable will deliver less power from the pcie slot to the GPU this affecting the performance. If you only play cheap multiplayer games then you won’t have much of an issue.

I have installed on MSI Z690 CARBON WIFI intel motherboard GPU GALAX RTX 3080 it’s runs very smooth and gaming editing is extremely good 🤠
I am happy with this 🥰
Hope PCIe 4.0 300m Cable Price drops in future because it’s too costly 👍
