After plenty of careful research, as well as around trying out two previous projectors increasing in cost, my journey to find a decent projector that won’t get me in trouble with the missus has ended – enter the Wanbo Mozart 1. It’s bright enough for use with minor ambient light in the bedroom, but after I got blackout curtains installed was where this unit truly shined. I stuck to the standard picture mode w/c was more than bright enough and connected it to my PS5. Entertainment (movies, casual youtube videos and of course gaming) has been transformative. Its game mode has a very low input lag, so much that I can still remain competitive in twitch shooters such as Call of Duty, and the sound is decent enough with a surprisingly heavy bass. Now on its third month of use I could not see any other competitor to match it on the same price level. Contrast is good enough for dark games (Alan Wake 2, RE2 3 and 4) as well as movies with dark atmospheres (Batman 2022, Interstellar..). Its also got built in android apps for the kids when they watch their favorite videos. And the best part is you get a cinema, a gaming screen at a fraction of the cost of DLP’s. If I could give this 10 out of 5 I would. Would recommend it to friends and family as well, considering I’ve already demoed it to them. Get this model while you still can.

It’s a very good projector, and it’s worth the money: good performance so far, perfect brightness for the night. The colours are great, compact in size, have hassle-free installation, and have great UI. video quality is awesome as well.

I ordered Wanbo Mozart 1 Projector on 14 January 2025 and the next day it was delivered thanks to Amazon.
The same day we tested Wanbo for different lighting conditions and sound conditions.
We conducted testing with Amazon Fire stick.
1. The foremost feature we found was the ease of setting up and smooth connectivity with external devices.
2. The auto focus and auto screen size and dimension adjustment features are excellent and error free.
3. The picture clarity is good in ambient light but becomes excellent in dark. You feel theatrical experience.
4. The distance of 3 meters gave me a clear and crisp projection of nearly 150 inches diagonal…..almost three times of my 55 inch LG TV.
5. The inherent sound is adequate for a 320 sqft living room but we still decided to connect the unit by bluetooth with our LG 330 watt rms boom box and the room got converted to a cinema hall.
6. Sharpness and colours of the picture are real life like.
7. All adjustments are very easy like a child’s play…
8. We saw one film and some tv programs in 4k on the screen using fire stick and the result was amazing.
9. In all it is a perfect entertainment for our entire family….very reasonably priced….

If you’re looking for a high quality full HD projector on a budget, this is the best one out there!
I would like to mention that I’ve tried the Wanbo TT as well before buying this projector, and the projector brightness of Wanbo TT wasn’t sufficient for me. In a room with some ambient light, the projection looked dull. But with the Mozart 1 (900 ANSI), I don’t have that issue, even in rooms with some ambient light from windows (curtains closed) I can enjoy great picture quality and brightness.
The projector is Full HD, and the picture quality is beautiful. The apps Netflix and Hotstar work well, but primevideo doesn’t work. You can log into the app, but it doesn’t stream anything within the primevideo app. I got a firestick along with the projector for other streaming apps. There are two USB ports on the projector so I use one for the firestick power supply and the other usb has my external ssd plugged in at all times.
You can connect an external SSD with the projector. I have mine connected to a 500gb ssd filled with movies and shows that I want to watch. And it renders them beautifully! Some audio codecs aren’t playable within the default video player app on the projector (I think usually the ones with 5.1 surround sound). But you have Kodi on the app store, and VLC is available as well. These apps can be used to play such files on the projector. If you try to play very heavy files (For example Bluray files with huge file sizes like 5-10gb) through the default video player, the video plays fine but the audio doesn’t play here. Even on Kodi or VLC, you’ll have trouble getting smooth playback of such heavy files. But you can always use a laptop to play your high quality movies I guess.
HDMI connection to a laptop, and XBOX works perfectly. So if you want to stream content from your laptop or use the projector for gaming, it’s easy. You just plug and play.
I use the projector in my bedroom most of the time and I have placed it to one side of the bed, so the projector is diagonal to the projection wall. Yet it manages to keystone correct automatically and render a straight image. Once it does the automatic keystone correction, you still have the option to move the corners of the frame manually to increase the image size to your liking. The maximum screen size will definitely depend on the distance of the projector from the wall, and the angle of the projector. Also, if you use the projector at an angle to the wall, there will always be one end of the projected screen that’s slightly out of focus, you can manually adjust focus and achieve a middle ground if this happens. But this isn’t an issue since you don’t really notice it.
A major feature of this projector that I love the most is its sound quality. It has high quality speakers, and eliminates the need for an external speaker if you’re using it for your bedroom or if you would like to carry it with you when you travel. Even at 40% volume, it’s pretty loud and the quality of sound is great. The bass is good, and the voice clarity is perfect as well.
Overall, it’s a great purchase and takes your movie watching experience to the next level. Great picture quality, easy to setup, anyone can use it right out of the box, and whether you intend to use it for a home theatre setup or your bedroom, you can’t go wrong with this projector.

I used it about a month and found the visibility is perfect in lights on. It has a good sharpness. I fix it at 12 ft distance from screen. Only one drawback that is common in most of the projector is auto focus from any places…that too is persist in wanbo Mozart 1 Pro. I have to set it manually about 2 ft from ground height on a slight tapper position. It’s very easy to switch on and off or choose the programme. There is no need to use external Cromecast or Amazon stick, all inbuild and working satisfactorily. I am watching Netflix, Amazon, and Indian tvs .Ultimately I am fully satisfied with the product. It’s worth of money I invested.

The Projection quality is good, but since it doesn’t come with Android it doesn’t support Jio Cinema( It supports Prime Videos, Netflix,Disney+Hotstar is web based which is not good).
The Built in player for playing Videos from External Storage devices doesn’t support Subtitles or Options to change audios in a multi Audio file. Player is too Basic. Can’t side load Apps.
Software is choppy, So many Bugs.

The product is vey compact and has a very good picture quality. Sound is also decent but f you have a sound bar or other good speakers then you are in for a treat.
Keystone and focus also works seamlessly. Just try to to place the projector in the middle so that it makes the clearest screen possible. You might see some blur at corners when you try to project from a side angle, but when the video plays, the blur will vanish.

-If u turn on a light around 20 watts led also still be viewable.
-day time better to close the windows completely. Its a portable projector and to be treated lile one.
In built speakers are superb for a projector and clear vocals with good amount of bass. Definitely better than the competition
I dont think there is another projector with similar quality speakers built in. Its a protable one. U cant carry a sound bar where ever u go!
The inbuilt android TV OS is fast and there is no lag.
The video playback is also smooth.
*Only backdraw which was not expected is in DIM scenes there is little halo around the subtitles. Which is acceptable at this price range.
