I recieved the HDD in poor packaging and the drive was not working.
On that note, I decided to buy this particular model of drive locally. To my surprise, I had to exchange 4 drive before I could get a drive that was functioning. These drives inherently seem to be defective. The noise of the hdd head is quite prominent compared to other drives.

Vendedor entregou no prazo correto com produto em bom funcionamento e condições apesar de embalado apenas com 2 plásticos finos. Hard drives requerem cuidado adicional para proteção.

This disk drive was not detected by Synology NAS although it is in compatible list. Testing with other computer found it to be in uninitialized state…..all attempts to initialize failed due to IO error. It was not even detected in Western Digital dashboard that shows diagnostics.

NASで使用しようと、CMRの当商品を購入。
３年保証のように商品ページの写真に英語で記載されている。
箱にも3年保証と記載あり。
seagateのIronwolfも購入したが、Ironwolfは5年保証だった。
どちらが、長持ちするか確認してみたい。

Bought 4, out of which these 2 Drive are defective, My NAS, WDMYCLOUDpr4100 didn’t detect these 2. Checked it with my PC show I/O error and these 2 are not detectable. You can he a chuckling sound in the drive.

Product came in an wide open esd package with no esd seal, no other genuine WD packaging. Device was dead on arrival, means PC wont detect the hardware after numerous tries. Amazon refused to refund or replace the device giving bogus reasons, packaging did not have a warranty card.
